Wigan Removals

I did some research on Google before booking a removals company, and Halls ended up top of my list. I set about trying to get them booked, as when I was looking, it wasn't far from my moving date.. The chap that answered the phone was very polite and professional, asked me a few questions, then advised that a free quotation would need to be done first. This was done by a very pleasant lady, no sucking of air through teeth, tutting or any other "that's going to cost you" mutterings. The quote was given verbally a couple of days later and was so reasonable that I accepted there and then. Great start to the process, and the day I requested was available too! On to moving day.

Courtesy call in the morning to ensure all was ok, and sure enough a proper moving van arrived outside the house, in good time, and not driving like Max Verstappen! A relief indeed. Two lovely chaps disembarked and knocked on the door. They introduced themselves and set to work on shifting our stuff. I thought I'd broken down the sofa but unfortunately I'd only separated it.. Rather than tell me it couldn't be done, or even point out my mistake, David and Carl just separated the backs from the bases and shifted it, just chatting amongst themselves happy as you like. Everything loaded, they confirmed the new address and we set off over there. Only a short drive but they made excellent time and no hassles. I parked my car on next door's drive just to give them more room to work and sure enough the unloading began. Not only did David notice a couple of nails in the wall on the stairs, he even removed them! Top man. I worried that my headboard wouldn't fit up the two flights of stairs but I needn't have, as before I knew it, it was up on the top floor! David even took the time to explain how, if I ever needed to, it had to be angled in order to get it down again. They even showed me the release pins on the sofa just in case I needed them in the future. Job well done and all items in the correct rooms. David and Carl even put the sofa back together again for us.
All told, I cannot thank Halls, and of course Carl and David for making this a really easy move. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Halls of Wigan to anyone - really professional firm, all services ordered including packing and unpacking if needs be, and genuine pleasant staff. I couldn't choose Wigan in the area list as it doesn't exist so Manchester was the closest option I was willing to select, however Wigan was the area I moved from and to.
